As
this is “phase one” of our student / intern program there will be a
fair amount of “set-up” work involved, which subsequent students will
benefit from enormously. Since this is the case there will be no-cost
to participants until the 1st of August 2008.
Following August weekly charges will apply.
Students
wishing to become project managers or itinerant teachers would benefit
by getting involved to gain project management experience.

Permaculture Design Certificate course
Starts

This
world-recognized, 72-hour course provides an introduction to
Permaculture as set forth by movement founder Bill Mollison is held by
Geoff
and Nadia Lawton and other Permaculture educators.
The Permaculture Designers Manual by Bill Mollison is provided free of charge to each student.
Students are invited to bring details of their own sites or potential sites.
Wireless broadband internet access is available to anyone with a laptop.
The Sunday off in the middle of the course lines up with the famous monthly
Channon Craft Market, the oldest market in the region. The market is
situated just one property away from Diversity Farm, students self cater on the

This course serves as the foundation for further study and is a
prerequisite
for a Diploma in Permaculture Design awarded by the Permaculture
Institute. This accreditation is accepted by a growing number of
universities in Australia and worldwide.
To date thousands of people have been become certified
Permaculture Designers by completing this groundbreaking course. This
has created a global network of ecological activists
who are currently influencing major corporations and creating new
sustainable business alternatives for the international community.
The course covers sustainable living systems for a wide variety of landscapes
and climates. It includes the application of Permaculture principles for food

Geoff Lawton is a world-renowned Permaculture practitioner. He emigrated from England to Australia
and studied Permaculture with Permaculture's Founding Father Bill Mollison in Tasmania. He founded the Permaculture Research Institute on Tagari Farm in New
South Wales, Australia,
a 147-acre farmstead designed and developed by Bill Mollison.
Since 1985, Geoff has designed and implemented Permaculture projects in 18
countries for private individuals, groups, communities, governments, aid
organizations, and multinational corporations. He has taught the Permaculture
Design Certificate course and designed Permaculture projects in 25 countries.
This Unique Course is facilitated at the Permaculture Research Institute farm, so as you
learn you are able to experience the workings of a Real Life Permaculture System.
